I am new to the knifemaker and blacksmithing community. I am a veteran of the fire service and was looking for something to take me into retirement. Several years ago I began watching youtube videos of Alec Steele as well as some other well known knife makers. I couldn't stop watching and learning. Step ahead a few years, my wife sent me to the Goat and Hammer forge for a basic blacksmithing class. From that point on, I was hooked.
